Before you use your stone for beds make sure all your walls pavements and sculptures are already built.
Quality can further influence the rest effectiveness and comfort.

A bed is used by colonists for sleeping to recover their rest it can be made out of any material but its rest effectiveness is 100 only when made out of a non stone material.

Using precious metals for beds is somewhat viable but only in the very late game.
Exception to rule 1.

They have different beauty factors but wood walls and floors are neutral so if your colonists got mad it was for different reasons.
Also your colonists shouldn t hate any particular material type.
Stone is better but bed material is not that crucial.
